Privacy policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Italian Paws LLC collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit or buy from our online shop at shop.italianpaws.com (the "Shop"). Our main website, italianpaws.com, is covered by its own Privacy & Cookie Policy.

1. Who we are

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

3. Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only as needed to run the Shop:

Shopify, which hosts the Shop, checkout and payment processing (Shopify Payments). If you use Shop Pay or the Shop app, Shopify's own privacy policy also applies to that use.
PreProduct, our pre-order app, which manages your pre-order and arranges the charge to your saved payment method when your order ships. Your payment method itself is stored by our payment processor.
Shipping carriers and fulfillment providers, to deliver your order.
Email service providers, to send transactional and opted-in marketing emails.
Professional advisers and authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
A successor business, if Italian Paws is involved in a merger, sale or reorganization.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and give you the right to opt out.

4. Cookies, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The Shop uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart, checkout and security. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or marketing cookies, and you can change your choice anytime through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out request where the law requires. Our Shop does not respond to other "Do Not Track" browser signals. Third parties may collect information about your activity across websites only through cookies you have accepted.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, generally up to 7 years. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We delete or anonymize other data when it is no longer needed.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

know and access the personal information we hold about you;
correct inaccurate information;
delete your information;
receive a portable copy;
opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, or targeted advertising (we do neither); and
not be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@italianpaws.com or write to the address in section 1. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within the time the law requires.

California residents may also ask, once a year, for information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83). We do not make such disclosures.

7. Security

We rely on the security measures of Shopify and our service providers, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections at checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Where your information is processed

Italian Paws LLC is based in the United States, and the Shop sells only to addresses in the contiguous United States. Personal information is processed in the United States and wherever our service providers operate.

9. Children

The Shop is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will post them here before they take effect.
